Technology, Security & Cloud Roadmap

The initial Bond Visual product portfolio consists of Power BI Custom Visuals designed to execute within the Microsoft Power BI environment.

• Execution: Core visualisation and analytical logic is implemented using TypeScript and modern web technologies.
• AI / LLM status: The current visual products do not embed active generative AI execution.
• Data handling: The current visual experience is designed to operate on data supplied to the Power BI visual environment.
• Security principle: Cloud services are not introduced into the current products unless there is a validated product requirement for them.
• Engineering: Development is progressing toward automated testing, visual regression testing, production hardening and Microsoft certification assessment.

The initial Power BI products are intended to establish a practical project intelligence layer. Customer discovery is now being used to investigate how that capability could evolve into a broader Project Executive Storytelling toolkit.

The objective is not simply to add another dashboard. The longer-term opportunity is to help transform detailed project information into concise, contextual information that assists project leaders and executives in understanding what has changed, why it matters and where attention may be required.

Cloud and AI infrastructure would therefore be introduced as the product requirements become validated.

Google Cloud is particularly relevant to the longer-term product roadmap because Bond Visual is investigating the use of Gemini and Google Cloud services to provide AI-assisted analysis of project information alongside the Power BI visualisation layer.

1. AI experimentation and product prototyping

Initial cloud usage would support experimentation with Gemini and related Google Cloud services, allowing the product to test whether AI-generated project narratives, summaries and analytical insights provide sufficient value to customers.

2. Cloud-backed application services

If customer validation supports the broader product concept, cloud-hosted services could provide APIs and application logic that extend the capabilities of the Power BI visual layer.

3. AI-assisted executive storytelling

A potential future capability is the generation of concise, context-aware project narratives from structured schedule and project information.

• Schedule and milestone summaries
• Variance and change narratives
• Dependency and bottleneck insights
• Risk-oriented project summaries
• Executive briefing content

4. Production cloud infrastructure

If the cloud-backed product is validated, production infrastructure may include managed compute, secure API endpoints, data storage, logging, monitoring, secret management and other Google Cloud services appropriate to the workload.

Enterprise project information can be commercially sensitive. Security and appropriate data handling are therefore fundamental considerations in the product architecture.

• Minimise unnecessary movement of customer data.
• Introduce cloud processing only where it provides a validated product benefit.
• Use managed cloud services and appropriate authentication and secret-management controls for future APIs.
• Apply logging, monitoring and error management to future production services.
• Maintain a clear separation between the current Power BI visual products and future cloud-backed capabilities.
