1. Overview

Bond Visual ("we," "us," or "our"), operated by Christopher John Bond, develops custom data visualization software for Microsoft Power BI distributed via Microsoft AppSource. This Privacy Policy applies to all Power BI visuals published under the Bond Visual publisher account, including Transformation Timeline.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. Our Power BI custom visuals are designed to operate strictly within the customer’s secure Microsoft Power BI environment.

2. Data Processing and Storage

A. Report and Dataset Data

• No External Data Transmission: Our visuals do not collect, transmit, store, or log any customer report data, field values, telemetry, or underlying dataset contents to external servers or third-party endpoints.
• In-Memory Rendering: All data processing for chart rendering occurs strictly in- memory within the sandboxed custom visual framework provided by Microsoft Power BI Desktop or the Power BI Service.
• Zero Network Access: Our visuals do not request or require WebAccess permissions, nor do they utilize network calls to communicate over the internet.

B. Licensing & Entitlement Data

• Microsoft-Managed Licensing: Our visuals utilize Microsoft’s native Power BI Licensing API (host.licenseManager) to verify active per-user license entitlements.
• No Custom Authentication: We do not require or perform custom user logins, API key validation, or independent license server tracking. License state queries are processed locally by the Microsoft Power BI host application.
• Information Received: The visual queries entitlement metadata provided directly by the Power BI host to toggle licensed features. No personal data from this transaction is transmitted to or retained by Bond Visual.

3. Third-Party Services and Analytics

Bond Visual does not embed third-party tracking scripts, advertising trackers, or telemetry analytics within our Power BI visual packages. Any marketplace transactions, payments, or license seat assignments are handled directly by Microsoft through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and AppSource according to Microsoft’s Privacy Statement.

4. Data Security and Compliance

Because our visuals operate inside the sandboxed environment enforced by Microsoft Power BI, data security, access control, and compliance remain entirely governed by your organization's Microsoft 365 / Power BI tenant settings. Our code adheres to Microsoft’s strict security standards required for Power BI Visual Certification, including input sanitization and safe DOM manipulation.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect functional updates to our visuals or changes in Microsoft AppSource publisher requirements. The revised version will be published at this URL with an updated "Effective Date".
